Yet another rocking feature from Google`s AJAX APIs - Now You can add Google news to your website and doing this is just a child`s google-news-on-siteplay. You just need to add a Google News based iframe element into the code of your webspace.  You can choose the types of stories that will appear in your customised Google News Bar, so be it Tech or Politics, you name it... Google has it! Check this screenshot to find out how this new feature looks like.

A very simple configuration wizard helps you grab your final code. The config. wizard for this News Bar has two predefined Sizes - A leaderboard and medium-rectangle. The wizard also has a predefined category of News you can choose to display or may even enter your own search terms to categorize your content.  There is also an option for selecting your country so that any News in your country from the topics you have selected to be displayed will be getting a priority compared to other countries. If you wish not to do this, simply select the [Auto] option from the dropdown menu. You can also chose the no. of news items to be displayed on the Bar which a user can scroll through. For eg. If you want to show only the Top Headlines to your users then just use this code on your website:

<iframe frameborder="0" width="300" height="250" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"
src="http://www.google.com/uds/modules/elements/newsshow/iframe.html?topic=h&rsz=small&format=300x250">

</iframe>

All this has been made possible, thanks to the Google`s AJAX Search API. You can also go through the Full Documentation for a detailed customisation options and a few hacks! Again, this feature cant be used on WordPress.Com hosted blogs due to their Free Account limitations.
