Google Wave

Google Inc today previewed a new and innovative product termed as the 'Wave' . It's being freshly brewed at their labs using HTML 5 and Google Web Toolkit and is all set to redefine the way we communicate and collaborate over the web. A 'wave' is made of equal halves of conversation and document. It will let users work and play around with richly formatted text and photos and videos and maps and gadgets and feeds and ...............and everything i.e all of these is 'live' and 'shared'.

It is planned to be launched later this year. So in the meantime, you can spend your time by engaging yourself in activities like signing-up for 'wave' updates, playing the wave preview video over and over again, counting the stars and keeping your fingers crossed. And just in case you happen to be a code-loving guy, head out to the 'wave' developer section where you can learn about wave protocol , deploying waves in your website using Wave APIs, building you own wave systems, contributing and enhancing Google Wave and. The Wave APIs allow developers to carry out development work in two ways : Extensions and Embed. Extensions refers to automation of common tasks and providing new way for users to interact using gadgets, while embed refers to making sites more collaborative by dropping in a wave.

Happy Wave-surfing !!
