Microsoft’s new FREE anti-virus ‘Morro’ to be launched soon

microsoft-logoMicrosoft will soon be releasing its new security solution named ‘Morro‘ and that too for free. They had not re-christened Windows Live OneCare this time, instead they have been developing a new and free security solution for Windows and ‘Morro’ is the outcome of that. According to Microsoft, they have been testing an early version of the product with its own employees and would soon make a trial version, or product beta, available via its website. However, Morro will be offering basic protection for a PC and will not be a fully-featured internet security package.

You can stop grinning now. Its serious stuff at least from Symantec’s and McAfee’s point of view, whose stock prices fell the previous day, while that of Microsoft climbed up. Seems like history gonna repeat itself, remember Internet Explorer and what it did to Netscape.
