kubuntu_logoThis is a continuation of our series of articles "Getting Ready For Karmic Koala". The first article can be found here.

Today is the day the release candidates of Karmic Koala is going to be released. And before everything else it seems that Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala is the first one off the block.

Going by the documentations, it seems that not much has changed except that it now has KDE 4.3.2 while the Beta 6 had KDE 4.3.1 (of course there has to be the bug fixes). Another feature that has made it to the RC is that you can upgrade directly from 8.04. Other than these nothing else seems to have changed from what we wrote some time back.

You can get the list of download mirrors and some more informations regarding Kubuntu 9.10 RC here. (At the time of writing this article not all the mirrors have updated to the RC and quite a few of them still has the beta). However, please be aware as this is a pre-release version, it is not advisable to use it on a production machine.
