Ubuntu Getting a new default theme for Lucid (finally!!)
Human - the default Ubuntu theme that many people hate is now finally going to be dropped from Lucid Lynx. This piece of information was revealed by Mark Shuttleworth in an interview with the Dell vlog.
Human, the brownish theme that comes to mind whenever we think of Ubuntu, has been the default theme in Ubuntu ever since its first release 5 years ago. Mark said that it will be replaced by a "lighter theme". However, no other info of the new theme is available yet.
I think this is great news for Ubuntu as there are lots of "Human-haters" (me included).
The Lucid User Interface freeze will take place on March 5, so we should see what the new theme looks like pretty soon.
