We generally take what is posted on Facebook for granted - we simply post what we feel like posting. However, with the number of users it has, Facebook can be an effective platform to market new products.
Dan Zarella, the author of "The Facebook Marketing Book", has come out with an interesting infographics which covers topics like on what day people share the most number of articles, what type of contents are shared the most (no points for guessing this!) etc.
