How To Install Faenza Icon Theme In Ubuntu 11.04

The Faenza icon set is one of the best looking icon set available for Ubuntu. It is a very complete icon set and has icons for most of the applications. In this post, we will tell you how you can install it in Ubuntu 11.04.

To install Faenza icon set in Ubuntu 11.04, open the Terminal and add the PPA ppa:tiheum/ppa.

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tiheum/equinox

After the PPA has been added, update the software list and install the Faenza icon set.

$ sudo apt-get update

$ sudo apt-get install faenza-icon-theme

After the icon theme has been installed, open Appearances. Select the theme you are using and click on Customize. In the Customize theme window, go to the tan Icons and select the icon pack from there. You should find Faenza, Faenza Dark, Faenza Darker and Faenza Darkest. The difference between these themes are only in the icons in the Unity panel.
