Microsoft Makes A Video For Linux’s 20th Birthday

The Linux Foundation is celebrating 20 years of Linux and as a part of the celebration, they are accepting videos as part of a video contest. One of the video submission came form none other than Microsoft itself.
The video is very interesting. It starts off with the animosity between Microsoft and Linux. Microsoft presented Tux a birthday cake but Tux turned its back on it. The video, though, ends on a hopeful note. Tux accepted the birthday cake from Microsoft and “Microsoft vs Linux” was changed to “Microsoft and Linux”.
Undoubtedly, many Linux users will question Microsoft's motive because of the strained relationship between the two. However, the "Microsoft and Linux" at the end of the video is interesting. Does this mean Microsoft is now willing to work out their differences with Linux? Does this mean Microsoft is willing to stop patent trolling Linux?
Microsoft should back up their message with action. They should probably start by putting an end to their patent threats against Android.
Check it out.
