Canonical Shows Off uTouch On Ubuntu

utouch A little known feature of the Unity interface in Ubuntu Netbook Edition 10.10 is the support for multi-touch. Sure Unity feels a bit beta-ish, but with uTouch and the UI with large icons, it is works quite well on a touch-screen device. (Well there is no on-screen keyboard yet. But that is another thing.)

 

Not everyone of us has a touch-screen PC or a laptop, so Canonical has made a video of uTouch in action and published it in the Canonical Blog.

Judging from the video, it seems to be working pretty well. Now I am kicking myself for not getting that laptop with touch-screen.
