Google Chrome 8 has hit the Dev channel for Windows, Linux and Mac.

One of the main features with this build is the addition of GPU acceleration option in the labs. You can access it by entering about:labs in the omnibar. The GPU acceleration uses the graphics card to render the HTML5 canvas elements. This greatly improves the performance.

Before you decide to switch to the Dev channel, remember that as name says its is a developer channel – not even a beta – so you should expect problems.

Anyway, if you are already using the Dev channel, a simple update should get you Chrome 8. Otherwise, to switch to the Dev channel follow these see these instructions.
