Seven Must Have Extensions for Google Chrome

Finally Google has made extensions for its web browser Chrome available for Linux and Windows users. The extention gallery contains more than 300 extensions. In this article we give you a list of seven must have extensions.

1. Google GMail Checker

This extension displays the number of unread emails that you have. If you click on the icon, it takes you to your GMail page. One shortcoming of this extension currently is that it does not have any feature to handle multipe GMail accounts.

2. Aviary Screen Capture

Using this extension, you can take a screenshot of any webpage and do basic image editing right from the browser using the Aviary.com applications. This is a very good tool for bloggers who need to take a lot of screenshots of webpages.

3. AdThwart and AdBlock

These two are both extensions to block ads from webpages. Both of them seems to have almost the same features currently. Hence, both are mentioned. And yes both works as expected.

4. Bubble Translate

Bubble Translate is a translator extension. Using this extension, you can do inline translation of the content of any website. It uses Google Translate for its translation.

5. Google Wave Notifier

This extension indicates the number of unread waves in your Google Wave Account. You can also access unread waves directly form the popup from the extension.

6. Chromed Bird

Chromed Bird is the Twitter extension for Chrome. It notifies you when there is new tweets. You can also see your timeline and tweet, reply or RT from this extension. It als creates short URLs for you tweets.

7. Google Quick Scroll

This extension lets you jump directly to the part of the page you were searching for in Google Search. It appears in the bottom right corner of the browser only when it is likely to be useful.
