Last month an ugly looking wallpaper was found, words got around that it was the default wallpaper, everybody cried out its ugliness  - there was even a bug report – even though Canonical Design said that that was not the default wallpaper. Today,we have another wallpaper. It looks far better than the previous “default” wallpaper….

Unlike the default wallpaper in Ubuntu, for Xubuntu  10.10 the default wallpaper is chosen from users’ submissions. The Xubuntu developers have asked for user submissions and today, they have announced the winning artwork:

Supposedly this is the default wallpaper in Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. Yuck!
