The Release Candidate for Ubuntu 10.10 “Maverick Meerkat” has been released and is now available for download.
You can download it from http://releases.ubuntu.com/10.10/. The final release will be available on 10th October.Warning: Do not install if on a production machine.
What’s New?
Ubuntu 10.10 RC has a number of new features/improvements over the previous beta. Some of them are:
- The Ubuntu Software Center now handles .deb file installations.
- Paid applications are available for purchase from the Ubuntu Software Center.
- The new Ubuntu Fonts are included.
- There is a new wallpaper.
