Microblogging site Twitter may have just killed a popular internet product - Twitpic. When Twitter was initially launched some 5 years back, there was no way for users share pictures with their followers on Twitter. This gave rise to many Twitter Photosharing websites. Twitpic is one of such websites that let you share pictures on Twitter.

There was still one problem which was not addressed in-spite of the presence of websites like Twitpic. Users were still not able to share pictures directly from the Web based client of Twitter. For eg. if one needed to share a picture on Twitter. he she would have to head to Twitpic, login with their Twitter account and then upload the picture - very long and cumbersome indeed.

Twitter recently unveiled a built-in Photo upload feature wherein users can directly upload pictures from inside the Twitter website and have it uploaded and added to their tweets automatically. No need to heading to any 3rd-party website anymore! The Twitter photo upload feature is powered by another popular web based photo upload product called Photobucket - photobucket.com/twitter.
