Dell launches supercheap Ubuntu based netbook

dhs_ubuntu_miniDell has launched it`s brand new Netbook, Inspiron Mini 9n and as the Dell - Ubuntu tradition goes, this netbook ships with Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex).  This netbook boasts of Fast boot-up and application launch and resistance to shock to protect you data. The base model for the Netbook is priced at USD 249. This includes 512 megabytes of RAM, 4GB Solid state hard drive.

You can add additional 2GB RAM to your system will set you back by USD 75 and increase your storage too which will again cost you more. Additional accessories include the option for adding an Optical drive, Bluetooth mice, Stereo headset, wireless stereo speakers and more. Dell has also added an option for adding skins to your lid. Available skins are seven in number, some of which are alpine and muse. The skins again are avaailable for an extra price but are worth the price you pay.
