Lenovo Do NetworkLenovo, the second largest PC company in the world launched its Do Network on Wednesday, building on its current global brand campaign tagline “For Those Who Do”. The online network aims to achieve what the company has always strived to do, bring to its users the best tools and resources for technological empowerment.

With the theme for the first cycle being “Innovation for Technology”, like-minded individuals or ‘doers’ are urged to form teams and submit ideas on how to use technology in innovative ways so as to solve one of these challenges – portable education, traffic jam or products=progress. There will also be a fourth wildcard challenge.

The idea is to provide the teams with as many resources for their projects. The online platform will also serve the purpose of connecting these teams to other individuals who can provide advice and assistance to the projects.

The Do Network will consist of contest cycles with different themes, each being of 90 days. Once the teams submit their ideas, they will be asked to garner votes and also accomplish certain milestones. The top ten finalists will get a chance to work in the Do Lab with distinguished mentors over a period of 3 months in order to refine their ideas and projects.
