12 More New File Formats On Google Docs Viewer (And GMail Attachment Viewer)

The GMail Attachment viewer is really a life saver as it automatically connects the attachments in your e-mail to Google Docs and lets you have a look (and edit too) at the attachments before you go ahead and download them on your system. Now, the good news is Google Docs just got better, announcing support for 12 additional new file formats.
This also means that now you can open attachments of more file formats which you get in your GMail Inbox. Currently you can view all PDF, DOC and PPT files. So, the 12 now formats will mean you no longer need to download the e-mail attachments to your computer in order to see them.
The 12 new file formats on Google Docs Viewer are:
- Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX)
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 / 2010 (.PPTX)
- Apple Pages (.PAGES)
- Adobe Illustrator (.AI)
- Adobe Photoshop (.PSD)
- Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF)
- Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG)
- PostScript (.EPS, .PS)
- TrueType (.TTF)
- XML Paper Specification (.XPS)
