An NCR based start-up called TheShoeMen has launched an online shoe repair service that provides shoe laundry and repair services to prospective customers at their doorstep. The service is available for all middle and high end shoe brands, ranging from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 50,000, and is looking to challenge the regular cobbler people go to when they need to get their shoes fixed by providing a range of benefits.

TheShoeMen Brings Shoe Laundry and Repair Services Online

With TheShoeMen, one can request online for their shoes to be repaired, and with the unique 'get your quote' tool on the website, it provides the customer with an estimate of how much the repair or servicing work will cost them. The company offers a Pick and Drop facility which could be free or paid depending on the value of the order and the feasibility of the area in question. Although the TAT has been set to 3-4 days, it is usually brought down to 1-2 days and keep up the customer satisfaction.

The company has been operational for 2 years now, but has gained popularity particularly in Delhi-NCR only since the last 6 months. Founder of TheShoeMen, Saral Budhraja claims that with a 2,000 strong customer base, and about 400 premium customers driving the chunk of the business, that have a prototype ready. The company is now looking for more funding to expand services in NCR and other cities in India.

The company is planning on expanding through the Franchise Model of Hub and Spook, having one hub which is the repair and laundry workshop in the city, with various collection points being called spooks. It is also looking for Incubation and Venture Funding.
