Ubuntu has come a long way since it's start in 2004. Through these years Ubuntu has changed the face of the linux operating system and has made linux more user-friendly than ever before. Come Ubuntu 10.04 (codenamed Lucid Lynx), a lot is set to change in the Ubuntu Community. Based on a review of brand values and identities from a team lead by Mark Shuttleworth, a set of visual treatments were produced and the Canonical design team has finally come up with new innovative designs that are set to change the face of  Ubuntu (read: Linux). In this article we will give you a sneak peak of the totally new and revamped Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx)!

New GTK Theme - Light

Like we have said before, Ubuntu 10.04 is getting a brand new theme.

According to the Ubuntu Brand: The new style of Ubuntu is driven by the theme "Light". We've developed a comprehensive set of visual guidelines and treatments that reflect that style, and are updating key assets like the logo accordingly. The new theme takes effect in 10.04 LTS and will define our look and feel for several years.
