Google Acquires PostRank, A Social Analytics Service
Google has acquired PostRank, a social analytics service in a deal undisclosed. The acquisition announcement can be found on PostRank's official website. Recently Google had launched +1 button for websites in a move to go social.

It monitors, aggregates and measures real-time web data and performance, with an emphasis on social stats like how many re-tweets or Facebook shares a piece of content gets. It provides various services. Companies use PostRank to connect their businesses connect with influential users. It helps online information consumers find and read what matters the most. The company has continued to work with existing clients and closed new sign ups.
Google has not yet publicly reported the deal from its side and the fact that which team would be joining Postrank's member is also unknown.
