Looks like the Social Networking giant – Facebook.com has started rolling out another new feature which can be called the Related Content widget. The related content widget is dynamic and updates with links to Fan pages and Ads related to the content you share on Facebook. This is really a smart move by Facebook and Social Advertising is on it’s new heights.
Till now the side bar on Facebook.com did have ads but were not related to your content (like the status update or comments which you post) but showing stuff that is related to whatever you are doing on the Social Networking site will definitely give advertisers more returns on their ad spendings on the Facebook platform.
Although the system is not very perfect yet as we ended up seeing really irrelevant ads for some posts which we made on Facebook in order to try this new feature. Here are some screenshots which show the Related Content widget on Facebook:
