According to Engadget's sources, Google is all set to launch the first netbook with Chrome OS on 7th December. There is a Chrome launch even on 7th December, which points to a distinct possibility that their source might be true.

Google recently released the stable version of Google Chrome 8 browser with over 800 improvements, including 12 security fixes. Chrome 8 has the built-in PDF plugin enabled by default and also supports the Chrome Web Store.

Google has launched a new video advertisement technology called the TrueView video ads which lets users skip videos ads or view them if they wish to. Google says this model which will benefit both consumers and advertisers.
