These can be easily done with the help of two compiz-fusion installed. Fire up your yumex and run a search for compiz-fusion, from the list that shows up select all the fusion-related packages. Those who want it the command line way, issue yum search fusion as root. The entire Fusion package download will be an approx 7.2MB download. Once done, fire up a shell issue fusion-icon& as either u or root. A blue cube icon appears in the system tray. Open the settings window and enable desktop-cube and desktop-rotate plugins. Select the desktop-rotate plugin`s settings and set the Rotation Speed and Rotation Acceleration values to their minimum. Close the settings window. Press Ctrl+Alt+ (Lt/Rt Arrow) You will notice that the cube is now rotating at an extremely slow speed. Now at your desired position of the cube, hit the PrintScreen from the keyboard. Regarding some Video Issues, if your video blanks out in the rotation process, don`t panic. In VLC, select Settings > Prefernces > Video > Output Modes. Then check the Advanced Options box at the bottom of the window. A list of available output modes show up, select X11 Video Output from the list and Voila, you`re done. In case of MPlayer, I didn`t face any problems, If you do and are not able to find a workaroundd, do leave a message in this post. The distortion which you might notice in the screenshots above is only due to the fact that my box doesn`t have a dedicated Grafix KaRd!!.
