Shutter is a great application to take screenshots for the linux desktop. The new version of Shutter that is Shutter 0.86 has been just released. Shutter allows you to not only take screenshots but also gives you a lot of features like, taking screenshots of specific area, window, your whole screen, or even of a website – apply different effects to it, draw on it to highlight points, and then upload to an image hosting site, all within one window.
