Earlier this week, Songbird announced that they will no longer support Linux and focus exclusively on Windows and Mac. Just after that news, many people started talking about forking the project.

Now, long term Songbird contributer, Antoine, has finally announced that they are forking the Songbird project and the new music player will be called Nightingale. The first focus of Nightingale will be to support Linux. It may also support Windows and Mac later.

They have only just announced the project and the name, so not much details are available as of now.
