Firefox 4 Release Candidate Coming Next Week
Firefox 4 has been going through a very long development period. So far we have had eleven beta releases and Mozilla still has not announced when the final release will be released.
However, the 11th beta might be the last beta or at-least the second last. According to a Damon Sicore of Mozilla, the release candidate is planned for next week - more specifically 25th February.
This is what he wrote to a message to mozilla.dev.planning:
Time to show fortitude. We've done it before, and we'll do it again. Let's finish these last few bugs and aim to finish RC by Feb 25th.
According to Sicore, only 22 hard blockers are left in Firefox 4.0 and he calls on the developers to fix them before the 25th of February.
Mozilla is planning to release Firefox 5,6 and 7 in 2011 as well. So clearly the Firefox developers have their task cut-out for them.
