Tired of iPython's interactiveness ? Want something different and refreshing ? Get hold of bpython. bpython basically adds a fancy interface to the Python interpreter and jazzes up the old (not so inspiring) looks of it ... and oh boy! I bet you will love the way it does so. If you don't believe me take a look at the screenshots below. And if you still don't like the way it looks and feel, you can go ahead and fully customize it as per your taste.

All these features like in-line syntax highlighting, autocomplete with suggestions displayed as you type, expected parameter list for any Python function actually helps you code fast with less error and makes coding fun. At least we at Digitizor Media like it. You might say whats the big deal? Most IDEs come with these kinda features. Agreed. But nothing can beat the fun of having this integrated right into your command line interpreter.

Also its less buggier than iPython and much more neater. Its currently available for UNIX environments like Linux and OS X.

You can download bpython from here. Try it out and do tell us how you like it.

Happy bpython-ing !
