CrunchPad is finally launched, oh now they call it JooJoo!
Fusion Garage CEO Chandra Rathakrishnan announced that the The JooJoo will go on sale December 11, 2009 for $499 USD. JooJoo which was initially called the Crunchpad and was a total idea of TechCrunch editor Michael Arrington. However, Michael reported a few days back that the CrunchPad project had ended due to disagreements between himself and the FusionGarage team (the manufacturers of the JooJoo).
JooJoo is being developed by Fusion Garage It is a Web Tablet that runs Linux and a webkit based browsing interface. It has a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU with a 12" LCD capacitive touchscreen input display. It has provision for standard internet connectivity and is 18mm thick!. The device also has a slot for inserting your SD/Memory stick and a USB port and audio jacks. Here are some more pictures.
