Get Some Amazing Ubuntu Themes Through Bisigi

The Radiance and Ambience that come by default with Ubuntu 10.04 looks amazing no doubt. But after sometime they get stale. If that is the case with you (or you simply want a stunning new theme) we suggest you look at Bisigi. Bisigi is not just a theme; its a collection of simple yet beautiful themes for GNOME. In this article, we will tell you how to get Bisigi themes in Ubuntu 10.04.

To install the Bisigi themes follow these steps:

  • Open the Terminal. Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal.
  • Add the Bisigi PPA with the command:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bisigi

  • Update the software list with

sudo apt-get update

  • If you want to install all the themes,

sudo apt-get install bisigi-themes

  • Or, if you prefer to install only specific themes:

sudo aptitude install aquadreams-theme

sudo aptitude installĀ  ubuntu-sunrise-theme

sudo aptitude install bamboo-zen-theme

sudo aptitude install step-into-freedom-theme

sudo aptitude install tropical-theme

sudo aptitude install exotic-theme

sudo aptitude install balanzan-theme

sudo aptitude install wild-shine-theme

sudo aptitude install infinity-theme

sudo aptitude install showtime-theme

sudo aptitude install orange-theme

sudo aptitude install airlines-theme

  • You will be asked to choose the proper screen resolution during the installation.
  • After the installation, go to System -> Preferences -> Appearence. Under Theme, you will find the installed themes.
