Google recently released the stable version of Google Chrome 8 browser with over 800 improvements, including 12 security fixes. Google also paid out bounties of $1000 and $500 to the discoverers of vulnerabilities in the browser. Google Chrome already had a built-in plugin for reading PDF documents which was not enabled by default. However, Chrome 8 now has that built-in PDF reader plugin turned ON by default.
Chrome 8 also happens to be the first version to support Google’ Chrome Web Store. However it seems that Google currently has no plans for using this service for selling Web applications, Chrome extensions, and Chrome themes.
