A lot of wonderful things are happening at the ongoing Intel Developer Forum. One of such is the concept of turning stolen laptops into unusable piece of crap, which was proposed during the Anti-Theft Technology session at IDF. This will definitely be a boon for those who keep highly confidential data in their laptops and simply cannot afford leaking it to others.

The basic ideas behind the concept, detection mechanisms, implementation methodology etc were discussed during the presentation. It seems things are really shaking up at the ongoing IDF with lots of innovative ideas being proposed and discussed.
