The beauty of Google’s Nexus phones is that it is always the first one to get the new version of Android. Ever since Google released Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Nexus One owners have been looking forward to getting the update for their phone.

Today, it has been confirmed that Gingerbread is coming to the Nexus One – hardly surprising, almost everyone was expecting it. However, they did not provide a definite time-frame as to when the update will arrive. Instead they said the Nexus One is getting OTA Gingerbread update in “the coming weeks”.

So, owners of Nexus One keep a lookout for your Gingerbread. 🙂
