MapView Google Maps 3.4 for Android is here. An over-the-air software upgrade, released by Google, will be bringing this to Nexus One. It will soon be available at the Android Market for other Android phones. Looks like Google has successfully added another feather on to Android’s crown.

Google Maps 3.4 brings some pretty good features which, as Google puts it, will make your phone a bit smarter. Some of the noteworthy features include Personalized suggestions, Synchronization starring and Night mode .

Personalized suggestions will make it easier for the users to find places which they have already searched before. It works quite like the way your browser prompts you with suggestions when you type in urls. Whats impressive is that your search history gets stored at Google’s servers, so you will get the suggestions no matter what device you use.

The Synchronized starring takes care of places you have starred. Just like the former feature everything gets stored remotely thereby synchronizing your starred places. Now you can work with your computer as well as your phone without losing out on synchronization and access your favourite places.

The Night mode in Google Maps Navigation is another cool feature. It detects and automatically modifies your phone screen during night for easier viewing and driving.
