Google Apps Bug Lets You Make Free Voice Calls To the US [UPDATED]
While Google is busy squashing bugs on Chrome, they have also introduced some in Google Apps! Recently there has been a lot of updates by Google Apps team. In the most recent update on Google Apps, they have integrated nearly all the Google services with Google Apps.
However, this one is about a bug in the Google Apps services that actually lets you make free voice calls to the US from some other country. (India in our case)
I recently upgraded my Google apps account when I saw this alert on the dashboard.
I regularly use Google Phone from my Gmail from California and it is disabled outside the US. But to my surprise, after the upgrade, I had Google phone option enabled in my chat list:
And I could actually make a call from India to USA for free! If you will notice the IP address is 14.96.27.234 which is surely not from the USA! I called up my friend in California and it worked like a charm! This makes me think, Can Google actually get it's mojo back!
