Earlier, we reported about Microsoft's official launch of its highly anticipated Windows Phone 7 Series. We were generally impressed with the new Zune interface that the overhaul has brought about in the OS. However, OS does contain some notable backward steps.

First of all, Windows Phone 7 Series will not supports Flash out of the box. However, Steve Balmer, has said that Microsoft has no objection to including Flash in Windows Phone 7 Series. So, even if it is not present in the early release, expect it to be present soon.

Another bigger backward step is the absence of multitasking feature. While the new interface is clean, simple and elegant, it  does not have any support for multitasking. This may make the interface faster but it is also giving up on one of the primary advantages of Windows Mobile.
