How-To set your Laptop`s Media buttons to work with Winamp?

These days laptops have multimedia keys to control the way you want to listen to Music. If you have been using Windows Media Player to listen to Music on windows thenwinamp-enable-media-button there will be 99% chances that your Media buttons will be able to Play/Pause music and Rewind or Forward the tracks. But, if you are on Winamp Player, there will be high chances that you won`t be able to control the Winamp Player using your Laptop`s media buttons. Here is a simple solution to your problem:

Goto Winamp > Options > Preferences

Select Global Hotkeys from General Preferences in the window that shows up from last step.

Check Enabled and then close the preference window. (If this doesn`t work then you may try checking the Enable Default Multimedia Key Support tab)
